[His name is mentioned on the Polish Air Force memorial at Northolt, U.K.]

Por. Tobolski crashed over Germany on 25.5.1942 with Wellington Z 1479, 
code GR-A during a raid on Bremen.
Crerw survived and escaped.
He was recaptured at Stettin (Szczecin) and murdered at Breslau on 2.4.1944,  
probably by Lux, and cremated at Breslau.


"Great Escape"
Six Airmen buried in the Poznań Garrison Cemetery have been killed after the 
"Great Escape" from Stalag Luft III at Żagan, Poland. 

They were killed by German Gestapo and later on cremated. 
The urns containing the ashes were placed in a special mausoleum in the camp.
In 1994 all the ashes were transferred  to Poznań.
