[His name is mentioned on the Polish Air Force memorial at Northolt, U.K.]

Por. Pawluk Kazimierz crashed on 29.3.1942  with Wellington W 5567, SM-M, near 
Lübeck, Germany and escaped.
He was recaptured at Hirschberg (Jelenia Góra) and murdered there on 31.3.1944 by Lux.

"Great Escape"
Six Airmen buried in the Poznań Garrison Cemetery have been killed after the 
"Great Escape" from Stalag Luft III at Żagan, Poland. 

They were killed by German Gestapo and later on cremated. 
The urns containing the ashes were placed in a special mausoleum in the camp.
 In 1994 all the ashes were transferred  to Poznań.
