CRASH of WELLINGTON Z 1467

On 6.6.1942 at 01.21 hours Wellington Z 1467 was shot down near the Dutch coast during a raid on Essen by a German nightfighter.

The aircraft crashed near the village of Slootdorp, the Netherlands.

On 9.6.1942 as a start there were found only two bodies. They have been buried as "Unknown" at Huisduinen. On 18.6.1942 the bodies of Łukasik F., Kułakowski Andrzej and two unknown Polish crew members found. They haven been buried on 19.6.1942 at Huisduinen.

Between 21-28.5.1947 the graves were exhumed and trasferred to the British War Cemetery at Bergen op Zoom, the Netherlands.
