Sgt. Hajduk Józef had taken off with Spitfire Mk 177 from the basis of Grimsbergen
in Belgium, in order to harass targets in the occupied Netherlands.
According German sources he was shot down by anti-aircraft and during a snowstorm 
he crashed near the house in 3 Beeksestraat at Toldijk, in the neighbourhood of 
Steenderen.
