In spite of the fact that in Polish sources is mentioned that 
Jan Fazan served in the 1st. Polish Armoured Division we 
learned in German sources an other explanation.

Jan Fazan died as Polish Prisoner of War in German 
captivity on 14 August 1942 at 18 hours and 30 minutes 
at Marcardsmoor in Germany.

He was buried there as well but May 1955 his mortal 
remains were exhumed and transferred to Bentstreek.
