Starszy sierzant (Flight sergeant) Leon Trzebiatowski was based at 
Walney Airfield, where the 10 Air Gunnery School (AGS) was based.  

During a  turn at low altitude the wing of Wellington X, nr. LP981 hit the 
water surface near Fleetwood.

The RAF crew W/O Harold Harris, Sgt. Norman Richard Drake, 
Sgt. Michael Francis Brennan and  Sgt. Roland Walker McMillan 
died as well.
