De Havilland Mosquito II, nr. DD644, code EW-Y was being tested 
after a 240 hours major inspection.
Two minutes after take off from Fairwood Common the starboard 
engine caught fire and the aircraft crashed in a field near Pennard 
near Swansea. 

Crew was killed.
